The Thomond Archaeological and Historical Society, while based in 

Limerick city, covers the Mid-West region.



As our name suggests we exist to promote an interest in history, 
archaeology and related subjects.
       
            
We organise lectures, outings in Ireland and abroad and publish an 

annual journal - the North Munster Antiquarian Journal.


We welcome new members who share our interests

The journals published by the Limerick Field Club between 1897 and 1908 and by  the North Munster Archaeological Society 1909 - 19 as well as the North Munster Antiquarian Journal published by the Thomond Archaeological Society from 1936 to 1985 are available online on the Limerick City Library website:
